I am a research and information professional with more than a decade of experience helping organizations, businesses, students, and researchers make sense of complex information. My career has taken me across two complementary fields: global product compliance and librarianship. Whether I am interpreting international regulations, conducting in-depth research, answering challenging reference questions, or developing educational resources, I enjoy finding reliable information and translating it into practical, actionable guidance.

My professional background includes more than 10 years working in global product compliance, regulatory intelligence, and consumer product safety. I have researched and interpreted regulations affecting chemicals, textiles, apparel, toys, cosmetics, personal care products, electronics, furniture, and other consumer goods for clients around the world. My work has focused on monitoring and analyzing evolving requirements related to REACH, PFAS, Proposition 65, restricted substances, labeling, environmental legislation, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and other emerging regulatory developments.

At Compliance & Risks (now Adherent) and Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, I transformed complex legal and technical requirements into practical compliance guidance. I developed regulatory content, maintained knowledge resources, wrote technical documentation, monitored legislative changes, presented webinars and training sessions, and collaborated with legal, laboratory, engineering, and product teams to support informed business decisions.

Alongside my compliance career, I have remained passionate about librarianship and research services. I have worked in academic, public, and virtual library environments, providing reference assistance to students and faculty from more than 88 colleges and universities. My experience includes serving as a subject librarian for geography and environmental sciences, developing research guides and instructional materials, teaching workshops on research methods, GIS, and information literacy, and helping people confidently navigate complex information resources.

At the heart of my work is curiosity. I enjoy digging into regulations, legislation, data, and research to answer difficult questions, identify reliable sources, organize information, and communicate findings in ways that are clear and useful. I especially enjoy roles that combine research, writing, education, and problem solving.

Outside of work, I love traveling and exploring new places, whether that means discovering a new city, experiencing different cultures, attending conferences, or visiting clients. Closer to home, you'll often find me exploring the Buffalo Niagara region and neighboring Ontario, Canada. We are fortunate to have an incredible variety of natural landscapes nearby, from Niagara Falls and the Niagara Gorge to Letchworth State Park, Allegany State Park, the Finger Lakes, and countless hiking trails, beaches, and conservation areas. I welcome opportunities to travel for work as they fit around my personal responsibilities, and I enjoy learning about the communities and people that make each destination unique.

I am currently seeking a local, hybrid, or remote position where I can contribute my experience in research, regulatory affairs, information management, technical writing, compliance, library services, or knowledge management. I am always interested in opportunities that allow me to solve complex problems, support informed decision making, and continue learning.
